Geocache Description:

This cache is located off of Lake Maury. You can reach this one from land or enjoy a nice 1.6 mile (roundtrip) boat or canoe ride to the cache from The Mariners' Museum. When traveling by water, please look up other caches in the area that are accessible only by boat or canoe to make your trip worthwhile.

If you plan to go by land, please park at the coordinates listed below. You may need rope for this one. When traveling by bicycle, please bring a lock encase you need to leave the bike unattended.

If you plan to go by water, you may rent a boat or canoe for $5/hr at the coordinates listed below Friday - Sunday from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm. Here is some information about the rentals they offer:

Boats are only available during the warmer months of the year. This is usually from March – October.

**PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN BOAT**
This area only allows boats, canoes, and paddleboats rented from The Mariner's Museum.

Be sure to bring your camera with you. This is a beautiful area with a lot of wildlife.

The cache is tied off with fishing line. We were worried an animal might knock it out of it's location. Please replace the cache on the root.
