Camouflaged film canister hidden in Alamo Creek Park in Dublin.
The posted coordinates will place you at The Black Pool monument in Alamo Creek Park in Dublin. The cache is hidden nearby.
Translated into Irish, Black Pool means - An Dubh Linn - one of Dublin's early names. This unique stone monument, located in the back of Alamo Creek Park, is made from black granite from the Sierra Nevada foothills. The stone slab is carved to resemble ripples in a pool of water. Large stones near the slab are inscribed with spiraling Celtic and Indain weave patterns.
The camo film canister is hidden SW of the monument plaque X number of paces.
X = the number of stones which are part of the monument plus the number of ripples in the black pool.
Please replace the cache carefully.
Note: This quiet park has recently been the subject of several heated Dublin City Council meetings. The Council wanted to give the public access to a closed trail which runs next to the park and along the arroyo. The residents living near the park and the trail protested claiming this would cause disruption, noise, and other problems. Eventually, the City Council voted to open the trail to the public. In a few weeks you will all be able to enjoy a stroll in this pretty area adjacent to the park.
