[Swe] Ett gammalt kvartsbrott några kilometer sydväst om
Björbo.
[Eng] An old open cast mine a few kilometers southwest of
Björbo.
[Swe] Flintgruvan ligger några kilometer sydväst om
Björbo. Det är ett gammalt dagbrott där man
förr bröt kvarts (och inte flinta om nu någon
skulle tro det). Brytningen startade någon gång i
början av 1900-talet och man lade ned verksamheten 1965.
Cachen är utbytt 2008-08-11, ligger nu där den gamla
stugan som arbetarna bodde i stod (inget kvar av den).
[Eng] Flintgruvan is situated a few kilometers southwest of
Björbo. It's an old open cast for quartz. The mining started
in the beginning of the twentieth century and the mine was closed
1965.
The cache is replaced on august 11, 2008. Now at the place where
the old cabin used by the workers was situated. (Nothing left of
the cabin).
