A unique way to enjoy Virginia’s growing wine culture – the VA Wine Trail of geocaches! As wineries in Virginia gain world-wide recognition, my friends and I chose to combine our love of geocaching and wine.
The manager of this property has graciously allowed us to make this cache available when the property is open to the public –11am-5pm daily. Please be sure to seek this cache during the public hours!
The location of this geocache is rich in American history. It was originally owned by a childhood friend of George Washington, and the field-stone house and tasting room barn were built in the 1820s. The current owners have done a great job preserving the beauty of this location, and the cache location provides a wonderful view of the countryside.
A stone pathway will lead you toward the cache. Muggles like to frequent this area, so stealth is needed to make the find.
