Geocache Description:

This is one of the thousands historical roadside markers all over Illinois memorating Abe Lincoln. Here, he said farewell to the people of Tolono on february 11, 1861.
"I am leaving you on an errand of national importance, attendend as you are aware with considerable difficulties. Let us believe as some poet has expressed it 'behind the cloud the sun is still shining.' I bid you an affectionate farewell."

The cache is a small rubbermaid container with log book and place for some trade items and travelbugs. It should be an easy stop off the road at day and night.
