Connemara Conservancy, # 1
About Connemara: This is private land, but it is open to the public. Every spring, the conservancy invites 10 artists/sculptors to do an outdoor piece on the property. The exhibition is open through May, so don't delay. The property is open year-round, though, and is a great place to walk your dog. If you are ambivalent about dogs (like me) you should at least visit Connemara every spring and see the art. If you don't like dogs, you might not want to come. If you love dogs you will go here often and see LOTs of other dogs, some really beautiful ones.
Access is from Alma Rd. Turn east onto Tatum Rd. which is just a gravel track and is VERY hard to see when southbound on Alma. Park at the end of the road and walk across the bridge.
The owners are interested in having a regularly updated virtual cache to point out specific ecological phenomena, but wait for more info on that project. Meanwhile the coordinates are for the visitors' gate.
