Dead Duck Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MotorBug: Checked on this one today, hoping to find it so someone doesn't lose a geocoin. Alas, it is gone. Looked in the water thinking it might have migrated there but no success. In any event, this one is a dead duck. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

A decon container in Sunnyvale Baylands Park.

The park is open from 8:00 am to one-half hour past sunset. Please cache only during these hours.

I was out doing some cache maintenance and 'discovered' this trail I had never taken before. It's a typical levee trail, with some steep banks in part, so watch your step. I got off trail to check out something that turned out to be a dead duck and nearly took a header into the pond!
This cache is less than two feet off the trail, but you probably won't be able to see its hidey hole staying right on it. You only need to step off about three feet. Don't go much further or you might take that header!

There is a GBA faultline coin for trade, not an FTF prize. If you already have one, please leave it for someone who does not. Some few items of swag, log and pencil, but as always, bring your own writing tool. For WeBeDnD that can include a green thumb to leave his mark!

During the off-season of November through April there are no parking fees. From May through October there is a single car entry fee of $5.00.
