This is a greenbelt access point that I never knew existed and it
begins in a park that I wasn't aware of. Pickfair park is very
small and mostly for small children. The cache is placed in a
greenbelt behind the park. Don't leave without also grabbing
Pickfair 2, which is across the street from Pickfair Park.
Don't let the terrain rating scare you off. The cache is located
about 350 feet from the street and the first 300 feet would be
rated a terrain of 1.5. It's only the last 30 feet or so that has
some elevation change.
You are looking for a small lock-and-lock container that is
large enough for small travel bugs.

October 25 by SoaringEagle (752 found) DNF but I did not get close to the cache. But I wanted to post this DNF as I tried to come from Trailhead park in Canyon Creek. The satellite pictures shows that there is a wooded area that connects the two areas. So I loaded the high resolution satellite image on my Delorme PN-40 and navigated from the trail towards the cache using the satellite images. Unfortunately about 200 feet past the creek I hit the fences from the houses on Winchelsea and they reach the fences of houses on Glass Mountain. So no route this way. Need to come from Pickair...It was fun to attempt any way.
[view this log] | October 14 by n5sbg (394 found) With the construction, couldn't find a way in on the correct side of the ditch, and didn't want to be climbing around in that ditch. But I was up for a hike this day, and being somewhat familiar with the other side of the greenbelt, decided to try other entries. Headed over to Trailhead Park on the other side and went in there. Went down the trail, bearing to the left. Crossed the creek and started up the draw, only to be confronted by yet another fence. I won't cross fences unless the cache owner says its OK, so this effort was at an end until either the construction is completed or I decide the ditch works for me. Maybe another day. I sure had a nice little workout in the high humidity, though! When I got back out to Trailhead, I was all red and breathless from the exertion and my wife made me stop and rest. But there was a nice little breeze there that kept the mosquitoes away and we had a nice chat as we waited. I'd have to say this was one of the nicest DNFs I've had in a while. Really, I was looking for a hike more than I was looking for a cache today. Thanks.
[view this log] | September 24 by 1Carlin (871 found) What's with the construction! The park has been split in two by a fenced gravel access road, which I took to the cache. I chose a steep slippery trail down and left some DNA before heading over to the cache. Found the cache quickly, then climbed out over the rocks to find my exit temporarily blocked by a huge truck dumping a load of rocks and dirt. Be careful here. TFTC
