Pogo the Possum Traditional Geocache

Welcome to the first geocache at the Children's Library and Learning Center! As part of the Central Arkansas Library System, we offer families with children experiential programming and hands-on activities to connect reading and literacy with the environment, gardening, the arts, nutrition, and other forms of community and place-based learning. We hope this will not be your last visit and invite you to come inside to learn about our additional trail geocaches.

This geocache is easy to find with a terrain consisting of a flat lawn with a few paving stones. The statue is of Pogo the Possum from the mid-1940s-1970s comic, Pogo. This loveable opossum is most famous for the quote "We have met the enemy and he is us", a reflection of mankind and our relationship to nature and natural resources.
