This is a nice hide on the disk golf course. Not too far along the path but does require you to leave the path. PLEASE SEE THE LONG DESCRIPTION before start looking.
This is a fun geocache and was enjoyable to put together. When you get to the geocache zone the easiest way to find it is to simply look around and note what is different. When you identify the geocache you will not need any special tools to open nor will you need to use more than 5 pounds of pressure to open. Please make sure you put it back the way it belongs so the next person can have the fun of finding.
There are two plastic double lock containers inside the GC and a lot room. There is a bit of swag.
When you get to the GZ you DO NOT need to get on your hands and knees to crawl or get on your belly to retrieve the GC.
I gave the Overall Terrain Rating a 2 however that can change depending on the conditions of the GZ. The normal water level of the creek is less than 8 inches. If the water is higher than that the rating will go up. If the water is above 18 inches DO NOT try to do this challenge.
The slope is almost always slippery and muddy near the creek so be careful if you want to go under the bridge. If it has rained recently the slop can be worse so the rating would go up. I suggest you hang onto the side of the bridge. Use common sense.
There is a lot of poison ivy on the slope. Open toed shoes not a good idea. This is a wilderness area so take into account possible wildlife. (Snakes, raccoons, ticks, birds, and etc.) I have not seen any personally but they are there somewhere.
This is a nice park but this is a really quiet part of the park. I have been there in the middle of the day and didn’t see another person or car for over an hour. Use common sense.
