Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off one of the main routes into the New Forest.

Like the 'tree' in the title, it has been disguised to blend in with it's surroundings

You can park very close to the cache, at the rear of the tree, in a layby on the side road which runs parallel to the main road. Recent improvements to the foot path have made the site slightly more exposed than before. The challenge is to find and replace the the cache without attracting too much attention.

The theme is 'Things are not always what they seem', so use your imagination when placing objects in the cache.

The cache consists of a 6" tall 'disguised' plastic container.

It is located a few metres to the North West of the the 'Orange tree' site, which is a cellular phone base station mast (In this case belonging to T-Mobile), which has been built to look like a fir tree.

Because of concerns about the siting of cellular phone masts, many system operators are attempting blend base stations into the local surroundings. In fact since this site was erected two more similar (one much larger) 'trees' has apeared along the main road a few hundered meteres to the North West. The 'Orange tree' is just one example of a disguised mast, that telegraph pole, streetlamp, flagpole, or dead tree may not be what it seems.
