We thought Scooter could use an area to stretch her legs after being in the car for the trip down to the CITO.
Congratulations to Scooter on First to find ... saw you paw print in the book! I knew you'd sniff it our girl! Also a big thanks To Laurie and JB for helping Scooter with her find :)
Parking is just at the curve of the road, you'll see the spot people use: N48 11.728, W122 13.222. just across from the white Pack it in, Pack it out sign. Use caution, there is still a strand of barbed wire on the ground as you cross the entrance. We have permission from Farmer Rick to use the field to get to the cache and dogs are welcome. Be sure to wave to the happy farmer driving his tractor on the field south of the cache .... It is NOT advised to park at the end of the road and walk the path in ... various sorted and unsavory individuals frequent that area. So that is why we got special permission to cross the field. Thanks!
The cache is a short .15 hike from parking. You cross a huge open field just perfect for Scooter to run and play. Just what we were looking for .... although she may get her feet dirty, but as a veteran cacher, she won't mind ;)
Looks lke the original ammo can turned up when they did MAJOR landscaping here. I have added a spolier picture. Please be sure the hide the cache well, so poachers don't see it.
