Geocache Description:

Meriadoc (Merry) Brandybuck was a sensible Hobbit whose concern for his cousin Frodo Baggins led him to mastermind the "conspiracy" that ensured that Frodo embarked on his quest with his friends at his side. Merry became a Knight of the Riddermark and played a significant role in the War of the Ring. Through his loyalty and courage he helped to defeat one of the Dark Lord's most terrible servants.

J. R. R. Tolkien's, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, produced by New Line Cinema and released in three installments as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).

The Lord of the Rings trilogy starts from the quiet beginnings in the Hobbit Shire, then ranges across Middle-earth. The story centers on the Ring of Power made by the Dark Lord Sauron, and follows the courses of the War of the Ring.
