Anyone who
has been caching with me knows I really like a sturdy bridge (or,
should I say, I detest unsturdy ones). This is definitely a sturdy
bridge! I appreciated that fact so much I took a moment out from
caching, looked in my Garmin's Custom Points of Interest (where I
hold over 3000 cache coordinates for just about every cache in West
Tennessee, including stages of multi's I have found), and saw that
I was clear of distance requirements - so a new Shelby Farms cache
was born.
This fabulous
park is open from sunrise to sunset. Parking is nearby and
plentiful behind the Visitor's Center. The terrain really could be
a 1 but I think someone in a wheelchair would have trouble reaching
the cache once they arrived at the location, so I have rated the
terrain a 1.5. Muggles will likely be an issue, hence the 1.5
difficulty rating. Be stealthy so as to not draw attention to the
cache location. Make sure to place the log back into the baggie and
seal it up tight so it stays dry. You are looking for a
super-strong magnetic key holder. Enjoy!
If you
haven't grabbed "Welcome to Geocaching, Christmas 2005"
(GCRR60), stop and pick it up too. That is
where I was headed when I crossed this bridge for the first
time.
