Located on Persanti Island on Santee. Lake. A great time to dust off those paddles !!
This regular cache is located on an uninhabited island on lake Santee. The key to this cache is getting there. This has become one of my favorite paddles on Santee. A canoe or better yet a Kayak works great. The reason for paddling is that we could all use some exercise and also there are numerous stumps that power boats hate. A good place to put in would be Jacks Creek Marina 33.34.000 80.26.263. From here it's about a 2 mile paddle. You could also put in at the State Park but beware, this intails some open water, so check your weather good. A good spot close to the cache is N33.33.309 W80.28.245. From here it's about a .14 mile walk.Take a picnic lunch and have fun exploring !
