This cache has been archived.

agpeabody: Because of way points disappearing and a couple other problems we have decided to archive this cache. Hopefully this great little park will soon have another cache which will have more longevity.

Geocache Description:

This is a multi-stage cache that will take you through several parts of Bayview park and playground. We discovered this park while we were out wandering around our neighborhood one day and have been back several times since. There is a small but well appointed playground for the kids with some benches for the adults. Next the the playground and up a slight hill are some athletic fields, but the caching won't take you up to them, so don't worry if there are any games going on. Once you've finished with the cache you may want to walk around the neighborhood streets a bit, as it is a quiet and pleasant place.

This is a four stage cache, with the fourth being the final container. The other three are micro-sized containers that have only the coordinates for the next stage in them. Two of these are white plastic tubes with screw-on lids (please don't screw then on too tightly). I'm not going to say what the other one is, because that would give away its location. The fourth is an ammo box, painted green. All four have the green Geocaching stickers on them. Please be careful when replacing the first cache stage that you do not let it slip too far down in its hiding place or others might have a hard time retrieving it.

Should you find that you need to go through the wooded part of the park please stay on the dirt trails as much as possible. At no point in going after a cache should you need to go more than four or five feet off of the trail. Parking is available on the street along the East, North and West sides of the park, with the East or North sides being best for the first cache location. There is some garbage to be found in the woods, so if you bring a trash bag with you I'm sure other visitors would appreciate it.

UPDATE:
We've updated the difficulty of the cache from 2 to 2.5 because the tree cover can make it difficult to get an accurate satellite fix. Just take your time and give your GPS time to steady down as you go.
