This cache is a Decon Container
This cache is about 0.35 miles from parking. The path is fairly
obvious. Stay to the south of the creek.
This area has finally been opened back up after the closure due
to the Day Fire. There is evidence that the fire went through this
area, but many of the trees are still doing well.
Please keep in mind that at certain times of the year, the level
of the creek may change, and it may interfere with the path to the
cache area. Please be aware of your surroundings, particularly
immediately after storms and during the rainy season.
Based on some of the signs, it looks like you need an Adventure
Pass to park at the end of the road.

June 28, 2009 by TerryDad2 (1175 found) It turned out well as I spent the entire morning going around the area getting coordinates for additional EarthCaches. This is the area I did a presentation on how to set up EarthCaches and provided the field guide to the area. A couple of years later, only 2 have been set up. Now it is my turn.I could ride my bike down to the cache. This is a nice but short trail. Too bad it doesn't go further. I'll be setting up an EarthCache along the canyon. As I was parking, a good natured ranger asked if I had an adventure pass. I didn't and figured, as in the past, the fine would be the cost of the pass. Not any more, It is a $780 fine to park in the National Forest without an adventure pass . I could run a red light for less than that . So I had to head back down to Castaic and pick one up and come back. With the help of some other cachers, none of us can find anything to back up the fine amount the ranger quoted. I think I got duped. TFTC. [This entry was edited by TerryDad2 on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 10:03:56 PM.]

March 1, 2008 by Journeymnn (1745 found) A bonus cache on the way back from Piru. We packed out a fair amount of trash, but there was a lot left over - probably from flooding. This cache was in fine shape though. We took a kazoo and left something I can't recall at the moment! Thanks very much.
