This cache is near the grave site of the explorer Charles Darke. During 1839 to 1844 he explored the Eyre Peninsula region along with John Theakstone and James Howard. The nearby Hills and township of Darke Peak are named after him.
The cache is a 2 litre container containing the log book and pencil, fridge magnet, torch charger, a plastic spud and clay bottle.

Speccie views from here. Glad we didn't come across certain reptiles! Found the cricket pitch which reminded me of the pitch near Lyrup.
