This cache is near the grave site of the explorer Charles Darke.
During 1839 to 1844 he explored the Eyre Peninsula region along
with John Theakstone and James Howard. The nearby Hills and
township of Darke Peak are named after him.
The cache is a 2 litre container containing the log book and
pencil, fridge magnet, torch charger, a plastic spud and clay
bottle.
