Minnestall med inhuggna årtalet 1861.
Här i Geocaching har vi uppmärksammat både säregna träd som t.ex. Tandvärkstallen, GCM9DR, och mindre roliga händelser som t.ex. Järnkorset vid Forsbro, GCY5CY. Denna gömma uppfyller båda dessa smakriktningar.
”Pigan Maria Olsdotter arbetade hos skräddaren i Gäddsjö. Hon blev förälskad i sonen Olof, men skräddaren motsatte sig ett bröllop. Detta ledde till att hon förgiftade sin husbonde med arsenik, ett dåd som hon senare erkände. Hon rannsakades i Nora sockenstuga och dömdes till att mista livet genom halshuggning. Domen verkställdes här på Nora Hed, i gränslandet mellan soknarna Enåker, Huddunge och Nora, tidigt en morgon år 1861. Årtalet höggs in i en tall för att påminna om händelsen.”
Före avrättningen läste prästen en vers (V) ur en psalm (PPP). För att hitta gömman, beräkna nu: xxx = PPP - 246 och yyy = V + 3. Platsen för gömman får du om du lägger till: 0 00.xxx till startpositionens norr-koordinat och drar ifrån 0 00.yyy från öst-koordinaten. Gömman är en 0.4 l plastburk i plastpåse med det vanliga innehållet + ett litet minne till FTF.
Eng: This pine tree marks the place for an execution that took place early one morning in 1861. There is a sign in Swedish at the spot, but you can pick up the information you need anyway: Before the execution, the Priest was reading a verse (V) from a psalm (PPP). To find the cache, calculate: xxx = PPP - 246 and yyy = V + 3. You get the position for the cache if you add: 0 00.xxx to the given North co-ordinate and subtract 0 00.yyy from the east co-ordinate. The cache is a 0.4 l plastic box wrapped in plastic.
Text added november 2015: As the sign has become unreadable by the weather, here is an alternative method to find the cache. The sign is still there, measure the hight of it and walk about 100 times that height to the north. You will find the cache at ground level under an old stump.
