Townline Road Escape to Nature Traditional Geocache
BOBRI52: Well I tried to keep this geocache in operation, but it appears that the homeless people have pretty much taken over this area. I feel that it is not a good idea to maintain this any longer. Thanks to all who have logged this long standing cache !!

This cache is where the former "Al Quacka and Kong" geocache was located. It is located in a beautiful nature preserve just off of Townline road, and is a great escape from the urban environment. There is a nice walking (rustic) trail, a stream, and an abundance of wildlife if you get there at the right time ! CONGRATS TO "Team*Churinga" FOR THE FTF !!!
NOTE: 5/31/21 --I REPLACED THE MISSING GEOCACHE CONTAINER WITH A PLASTIC CAMO LOCK-&-LOCK CONTAINER NEW LOGBOOK AND PEN AND MISC ITEMS The container is a camo - painted lock & lock, and in it are: Logbook and pens / pencils, 3 pairs of log - tweezers, pink golf ball, Boy Scout patches from the east coast, misc. refrigerator magnets, bottle opener SAFETY NOTICE ABOUT HUNTING ON THIS PROPERTY: The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy does permit hunting on this property as follows: "Mitchell Creek Nature Preserve Permitted Seasons: • Deer hunting; bow only. • Small game, waterfowl and turkey hunting. • Trapping limited to muskrat, mink and raccoon." With that in mind, please be careful during these hunting seasons in the area of this geocache. Also. since this is a nature preserve, please keep it clean and natural as it is - do not cut any tree branches or foliage of any kind, and take your trash out with you.
