Mad as a Hatter Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Boat-able cache in Oneida Lake.

Here's a standard size ammo box hidden on a "spot" so small that many maps we've looked at fail to even mention it's existence. It was discovered by TinyMoon when we were out doing some groundwork for another cache we had in mind...we decided to abandon my original location and go with her new find instead!

The "theme" for our cache came from a conversation I had awhile back with Molly McCool, on how there is an abundance of "Silly Rules" caches elsewhere in the country (and around the world!) but a severe lack of them here.

So, here is "Mad as a Hatter" (in keeping with the "Wonderland" theme started by the McCools), and here are the Silly Rules required to log this as a find!

Rule 1 ! To log this as a find, upload an image of yourself on Oneida Lake on the way to our cache wearing the most ridiculous and silly hat imaginable! See TinyMoon's pic for an example!

Rule 2 ! To log this as a find, upload another image of yourself at the cache site wearing your outrageous headgear with the Highway bridge in the background (for our visual confirmation purposes!)! See Pumpkin King's pic for an example!

!Warning!

All members of your caching party must wear silly hats!

All hats and/or other crazy headgear must be so imaginative and really silly that we laugh our DEET off, or be so horrifically ugly and beyond all fashion sense that we groan and cringe in giggling terror, otherwise your "finds" WILL BE DELETED. NO EXCEPTIONS. All photos MUST be uploaded at the time you log your find. And none of this "Oh I forgot my silly hat" or "It blew off my head and washed away down Oneida River" or "My chinchilla ate it".

We gladly acknowledge the following caches for inspiring ours...

GCMWAR "What's Up is Down, What's Down is Up" by Finn McCool and Molly

GCHR87 "Ladies First" by South Central

GCNA3K "I thought love was only true in Fairytales" by EcoTeam

TB6170 "CItThruMyIs" by Hoppe

GCNC4A "Yoga 101" by cybercat

Special thanx to the McCools for letting us "borrow" their White Jeep to start off our cache...

Omigosh!!!! YOU MEAN THERE'S A WHITE JEEP IN THERE?!?!!
