Geocache Description:

The Visegrádi-mountains are mainly volcanic stones, and it's hardened from lava, and volcanic debris. The 642m high Prédikálószék is made of stones like this and it's the highest point of the Visegrádi-mountains, with a breathtaking view of the Danube-Bend.

The beauty of the surroundings is dominated by the Danube Bend which is one of Europe's most beautiful natural formations. At the end of your trip through steep slopes, you can on the top find a big rock which looks like a preacher's pulpit. From this rock the whole Danube Bend can be seen. In clear weather you can also see some peaks of Börzsöny, the Nagy-Galla, the triple peak of Sós-hegy and also the Slovakian mountains.

You can reach the Preacher-chair from several directions.
The trip starts on the ridge of Keserü hill, on the right side of the Chapel, above a dried well. The other end of the ridge is the Preacher-chair. Follow the red triangle path, it leads to the top. The path is 2,3 km long which is around 2 hours walking. A beautiful part of the path is the Vadálló kövek (Animal-proof stones). You'll need good hiking shoes. The path elevates 467 meters in the 2,3 km, but the reward worth the effort: A breathtaking view of one of the most beautiful places in Hungary.

Enjoy the trip.
