A short hike, but an incredibly steep hike up a fire road. It's a tower away from the CV Cedarbend cache.
Located in La Crescenta, in the Verdugo hills. A short hike with an incline that makes my calves hurt. The local high school's cross-country team uses this hill for training all the time.

Going down the hill might be more difficult than going up.

Parking: The trail begins at the end of Cedarbend Drive. You drive down Boston, turn left on El Lado, right on Forestglen, and right on Cedarbend. Park where it dead ends, and follow the path through the oak trees.

Caching at night between rain storms is awesome -- even when you don't have water proof shoes. Lots of deep puddles that I had to tip toe around. I parked at the gate by La Tuna Canyon road... so I didn't get to huff and puff up the hill like I would have from the east. I did walk down it, though! It was pretty steep stuff, but not too long. I could have ran up it, but would have absolutely died. Anyway, the bag the log book went into was ripped, so the log book was pretty wet., but was able to sign it. I went ahead and stuck it in the sticker zip lock bag that someone left as well as any other paper I felt would get more damage due to the on-coming rain. TfTc!!

This is my 3rd geocache!

This one was a bit tough to find, but my boyfriend said he recognized the trail from his cross country days. He said he remembers why he hated Dudley's =P

The geocache was in good condition, although there is a small rip on the top of the box. The description was accurate on where the geocache was, thanks!

TFTC!

I approached this one from the west, so it wasn't particularly intimidating. I was quite surprise, however when I continued east after finding the cache. Dang...that's got to be the steepest stretch of motorway I've ever been on! I'm glad I had the hiking poles for the descent.
