A tribute to our friend Kelly (aka Biggieet_al)
Bigelow Lakes are a two pond like lakes just outside of Oregon Caves National Monument. They are named for the early pioneer family from the Williams area (whom Kelly is probably related to.) The lakes are covered with lilly pads and the meadow around here is home to 14 sensitive plant species. There have been talks of extending the boundaries of the National Monument to better protect this area. Since the area around the ponds contains so many sensitive species and is somewhat marshy at times I hid this cache near the first spur trail that leads towards the bigger of the two lakes. Please tread lightly if you go through the meadow. You can get a good view of the lake from further up the trail.
