Intended name is: Old Ridge Route - Backroad, Benchmark, and Bodies
of Water (but is too long). Micro cache, log only, bring your own
writing utensil.
As you enjoy your trip along this historic road, now a backroad,
you can stop at this turnout to pick up a cache and a benchmark
while enjoying the expansive views of the Quail Lake Valley below,
including a peek at Quail Lake and the California Aqueduct. The
folded hills before you likely indicate a seismically active area.
There is also another benchmark high up on the hillside across
the road. Look for a stub of concrete up on the bank. We did not
venture up to that one as it looked too difficult to reach.

Love the ones where you pull off to take a picture, meet a new person who happened to have lived in Maine 10 years ago, turn around and notice the cache and benchmark when you arent expecting it! TFTC and the picture perfect view

What a great day. Every time we came around a corner we ran into more hunters - all in cammo. We asked some of them what they were hubting and they each said bear! Strange.
