Purple People Eater - Night Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

tneigel: Yeah, a lot of the markers on the initial part of the trek have been removed. Even my little detour was hard to find and mixed up with Hunter routes probabably to deer stands and such. The route to the cache, which took me awhile in teh dark with no markers, was indeed spooky. The route back was well marked. Took out all the markers I could that seemed related, without messing with hunter markers.

Thanks to all. The area is open again for someone else.

Geocache Description:

Easy walk on the trail. May use an all-wheel vehicle to get to starting location. Night Cache. Bring Strong Flashlights. Don't go alone.
"Double markers angle towards a directional change."

Filled with goodies. Easy pickup.

Family Oriented, but a bit of a walk. The kids will love it. About .9 miles in, and about .7 miles coming out if you follow my route.

This is the big brother replacement for the previous night cache. Start at the coordinates by the Beaver Pond Sign. Look opposite the water into the woods.

Your path is clear as indicated by my white markers. Its the Purple Trail. Did you even know there was a purple trail here... Now you do. You'll be purple for awhile...
Here the sounds of the night - don't get eaten by the purple people eater!

Continue on down the trail into the woods. Reflective and Purple markers make it an easy follow. Spooookky as you get deeper and deeper.

You'll pass over a couple of fire cuts. There is a turn to look for.

Then further, a bit of a detour to figure out - Follow the markers into that clearing and around, and look closely for the direction when you come out of the clearing.

Continue on. Look for the Different color trail marker - "Shown Brightly" ahead. LOOK for the Big Turn, to the right. Continue on this New Trail.

Not much further, cache on the left - Clearly marked by multiple markers with One Green Marker.
Spiders are guarding the treasure. Cover fully so day-time hikers don't muggle.

To get back:
Look ahead for the TWO RED reflective markers. These and differently shaped reflective markers guide your way home on this already established trail.
