Geocache Description:

Riverside Park is a popular spot in Merrill and no wonder, this park has a disk golf course, shelter, boat landing & a pathway that is popular with dog walkers.
The pathway is unique as far as I’m concerned, it is built on a steep side hill behind the hospital, & flanking both sides of the path is beautiful stonework and a short set of steps built into the south side that go absolutely no ware. It seems a bit odd that such workmanship would provide us with is puzzling issue. Why are these steps built here to go, uh, nowhere.
Riverside Park is a 22-acre park along the beautiful Wisconsin River with a boat landing, picnic area, volleyball court, horseshoes, and a picnic shelter with water and electricity. Children can enjoy the playground, while all ages can try their hand at the 9-hole Eric Schalow Memorial Disc Golf Course on the island. Restroom facilities are available. The park is located at the end of O'Day Street. This newly developed disc golf course begins near the playground and winds through the adjacent island. You will find tees marked by half logs on the ground and clearly marked baskets.
Please observe all park rules and hours.
