This is a multi-cache with 4 stages in total. For answering the questions you need paper and a pencil. Write down the answers of the questions - you will need them later on. The first and third stages are small plastic-tubes.On the second stage you won't find a box - only further information!
The stories of this cache are based on real events and legends and are not only fictitious...so enjoy a trip throughout the history of the Rhön...cruel, mystic but also romantic!
Our trip starts at a small chapel. This place reminds us of the time of pestilence in the year 1635 when a lot of people died. In 1639 Johannes Farnung built up a monument to thank for the suffering’s end. On 21st of June 1647 the parish promised to do a pilgrimage to that place.
Now it’s your turn: find out the day people of this village do that pilgrimage every year since that time (ask some people of the village - they should know).
Write down the month of the pilgrimage (e.g. September -> 9) you will need that number for the final stage two times.
Nearby the first stage you will find the monument. Please write down the year and add up the single numbers. After that you need to have 3 numbers.

Dies ist ein Multi-Cache. Er besteht aus insgesamt 4 Stationen.
Zum Lösen der Rätsel benötigt ihr Zettel und Stift. Notiert euch die Ergebnisse der einzelnen Stationen – ihr benötigt sie später. Der erste und dritte Stage sind zwei Plastikröhrchen.Der zweite Stage nur eine Art Zwischenstation ohne Box o.ä.
Die Geschichten in diesem Cache sind nicht frei erfunden, sondern beruhen auf wahren Begebenheiten und Sagen dieser Orte....also lasst euch ein auf eine Reise durch die Geschichte der Rhön...grausam, unheimlich aber auch romantisch!
Unsere Reise beginnt an einer kleinen Kapelle. Der Ort selbst erinnert an die schwere Notzeit der Pest, die im Jahre 1635 in der Rhön viele Menschen dahinraffte. Im Jahre 1639 errichtete der Gesell Johannes Farnung einen alten Bildstock aus Dankbarkeit, dass die Pestgefahr vorüber war.
Am 21. Juni 1647 gelobte die Gemeinde, in jedem Jahr einen Bußgang zu diesem Bildstock zu machen. Noch heute wird diese Pestwallfahrt an jenem „gelobten Tag“ durchgeführt.
Nun seid ihr gefragt. Eure Aufgabe ist es nun herauszufinden an welchem Tag im Jahr dieser ortseigene Pest- und Hagelfeiertag alljährlich gefeiert wird bzw. die Pestwallfahrt zur Kapelle am Stein durchgeführt wird (beinah jeder Einheimische müsste euch darüber Auskunft geben können).
Diesen Monat merkt euch (Zahlenangabe -> z.B. September-> 9).
Ihr werdet diese Zahl für die Lösung des Rätsels am Final-Cache 2 mal benötigen.
Nicht weit vom 1. Stage entfernt werdet ihr den erwähnten Bildstock finden. Notiert die Quersumme der auf ihm angegebenen Jahreszahl.
Habt ihr nun 3 Zahlen, geht es weiter zum nächsten Stage...
