Heres an interesting spot on the foothills of Grasstree Hill.
You'll see some impressive sandstone cliffs and boulders on your
way to the cache and at the site - have an explore of the little
caves on the other side of the hill when you get to the cache.
Although you may see some signs, the cache is not on private
property nor do you need to cross any private property on the way.
You will come close, but don't worry, the landowner has made it
quite clear where the property boundary is.
The closest parking is at Risdon Brook Dam.
There's been some concern about trespassing, so here's how to
dodge the private property. If you've started at the parking
coordinates and followed tracks the whole way, when you get to
about 1.1km from GZ you should have the choice of 2 tracks both
going roughly in the right direction. The one that follows the
countour (and is a little to the left of the GPS arrow) is the one
to take. It runs roughly paralell to the gully line before turning
off, twisting through some cliffs before coming out on a vehicle
track that takes you to the cache. The one leads off up the hill
and follows the fenceline (it's a thats a little to the right of
the GPS arrow) is the one that will bring you to the property
fenceline.
