The Nerds from Lambda Lambda Lambda have been taunted yet again by the Alpha Betas, so the Tri-Lams are out to outwit the Alpha Betas again, this time by hiding all of their stash, including Stan Gable's ring (compass ring), the Alpha Beta glow-in-the-dark foozball (GITD ball of some sort), the Alpha Beta fraternity flag (Canada pin), their beer money (pyrite -- fool's gold), and their contact lenses (googly eyes pins). They even hid their trash bags (CITO canister)! To make it worse, they hid it in a small 250mL laboratory bottle.
In order to let the Alpha Betas get their stuff back though, the Tri-Lams challenged Alpha Beta to a variety of events, and managed to encode the hiding spot in the scores themselves.
In the tricycle race through the obstacle course, the Alpha Beta contestant managed to complete only 124 metres of the 623 metre course before he lost his balance going around a tight curve around a cone, while the Tri-Lam contestant handily completed the course. In the arm wrestling match, unfortunately the Tri-Lam contestant lost, having produced a force of 236 newtons in his arm vs. the Alpha Beta contestant's 927 newtons. So far, the scores added together got got the Alpha Betas partway to their stuff; the Tri-Lams needed to take a break to figure out how much latitude they needed in order to engineer the rest of the scores in order to give the Alpha Betas the rest of the information they needed.
In the stage performances Lamar of the Tri-Lams did a good job of entertaining spectators and got a (just barely) winning score of 613 out of a possible 976. And finally, Booger of the Tri-Lams surprised everyone and won the belching contest by continuously belching for a whopping (X*10)+3 seconds (where X equals the digital root of a regulation number quoted at the Frat House, which is *not* the trail map listed below), compared to a total time of 877 seconds for all entries; people were surprised how long he managed to belch, but with these two scores added together the Tri-Lams' were certain that the Alpha Betas could add things up to find their stuff.
Thanks to Lars once again for the math help on this one.
