Geocache Description:

Located in one of the nicer urban ravine areas in the south of Barrie

I first scouted out this area when I started Geocaching some time ago. I had always figured this would be a great idea to get people out to this area. There is quite a bit of "up and down" in this area, and depending on your angle of attack, you will likely encounter a good angle of descent. Parking is a luxury for this ravine area, but can be found in and amongst the subdivision roads off Hurst Drive with many fenced access pathways. There is also A trailhead just off of Big Bay Point Road where it dips down on the North side. I will leave it up to the masses to explore the way into this area, just as I did.As you descend to the bottom of the ravine, you can start to hear the fast flowing creek that has carved the area. This time of year the river is quite swift, and I even spotted a few small fish making their way out to the lake.You might want to take heed that my GPS basically gave up on me when I was close to the cache location. It took me about 30 minutes to get a good lock, and to get an accurate reading. It may be necessary to rely on some intuition with the final approach to this one.Enjoy the valley, and take some time to explore the wonderful area, and pathway. The Cache container is a medium sized plastic container with a variety of goodies.
