This event will be also be advertised to the wider public, in the hope of introducing the world of geocaching to many new people. Palacerigg Country Park already has a number of caches in the park, and will be releasing new caches for the event. We really hope that experienced cachers will attend the event and take some inexperinced cachers under their wing, show them the geocaching equipment, and how to find a geocache.
The event will be coordinated from the wooden long houses directly behind the visitors centre. Where coffee, Tea, Soft drinks and cakes will be provided throughout the day.
There are also picnic areas for those wishing to bring a picnic, or a cafe in the visitors centre.
Toilets are also located at the visitors centre.
Parking is free at the venue.
Wellington boots recommended as the trails can get water logged and boggy.
