Your looking for an ammo box located along the Manzanita
Trail.
This cache introduces you to the scenic Manzanita Trail, near the
South Fork of Big Rock Creek. This trail is very family friendly. I
brought my wife, a ten month old, and a 3 1/2 year old. The cache
is filled with trade items geared towards adults (except for 1 box
of crayons). Here are the cache specifics:
- Park at N 34 23.840, W 117 49.321
- The trailhead is Southeast of the parking spot, look for the
sign.
- Stay on the trail, until the trail is level with the Sandstone
Formation, then take the spur trail over the Sandstone, to the
cache site.
- Total distance to the cache and back is 1.76 miles
- Total elevation gain is 393 feet.
- A Forest Adventure Pass is needed to park your
vehicles.
- If you feel adventurous, go ahead and
