Geocache Description:

A cache designed to evoke fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Created from inspiration, careful observation of nature, and a devious streak that I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Be afraid. Be very afraid. When we leave the paved trail, things are no longer as they appear! In the woods where objects un-natural bring cries of elation to lips of Geocachers, there are things perfectly natural that should strike fear in hearts of the all but the foolish. The things that lurk in deep dark holes, the things unseen under loose rocks, the things unnoticed in hollow tree trunks, the many things and situations where imagination and reality converge! The realm of the plausible where hesitancy rules supreme. A place for all those unrealized paranoias and unexpressed doubts. A reality where tricks of the mind trigger your deepest misgivings. The paranoid will dubiously look over their shoulders, the foolish will discount everything but their goal, the careless will kick and grab at the unknown with gleeful abandon, but the truly prudent always examines nature in painful detail before inching ever so carefully ahead. When hunting this cache, the word of the day is: FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real). So gather your courage and prepare to let the adrenaline flow. The hike is short - less than 1/2 mile from the parking lot , but the last 175 feet will be a scramble through briar, brush, brambles, cedar, rocks, and other places a rabbit wouldn't go - so boots and long pants are recommended. Don't forget your hiking stick so you can gently probe places or things that your mind and emotions can't agree on. (A hiking stick is also handy so you can knock down those everpresent spring time web worms!) There is a first aid kit in the cache for those who prefer to hike in shorts and flip-flops. For the first 5 finders, you will find the ointment of St. Gratus of Aosta - which is also know amoung the Cnidophobiac community as "Afta Bite". Just the thing to add your spring geocaching first aid kit.
