This is a 5-star terrain event cache, which means you will need
special equipment to attend the first part of the event. Check the
coordinates and the maps and you'll see why. As incentive to
attend, I'm offering special prizes -- Groundspeak's trackable 2008
Volunteer Geocoins -- for the first six geocachers who meet me at
the coordinates at the designated time. There will also be a very
special FTF prize -- a Groundspeak Lackeys 2007 trackable geocoin
-- for the first to be at the coordinates and sign the waterproof
log book. If there is any doubt or controversy about who is FTF,
we'll pull names out of a hat among the contenders. This event will
last only 15 minutes at the listed coordinates. At that time, we
will move to the parking coordinates. Therefore, if you do not have
a way to reach the coordinates, you can still attend the event by
showing up at the parking coordinates and signing the log book
there. So come on out and take up the challenge and have fun
meeting some fellow geocachers.
In the event of heavy rain, lightning or other really crappy
weather, the event will convene at the parking coordinates and not
at the listed coordinates.
Note regarding a question I received about the location -- you
will NOT need scuba or snorkel equipment. The event will be held on
the surface.
