At the end of the day cowboys would drive their herd to a commonly known place to swap stories of the day and share a meal. A tree with distint marking such as this one could have been such a place. Doubt, however, that they were bothered by the noise from 75!
You are looking for a cameoed paintball tube filled with some small flags. The cache was placed on the morning of the 4th of July, a good chance to enjoy this new preserve and ruminate on all the beauties of America!
