Your odyssey will begin here as you seek to unravel a puzzle
consisting of 14 clues. The park has as of the date this cache was
conceived, 16 caches. All but two of them now contain a coordinate
number you must have for finding the location of this cache. You
may be thinking that this proposed cache is an indecent idea. I
agree! After all, it’s a well known fact that I have recently been
diagnosis as being sick.
To log a find on this one you must have previously logged the
others as found. I am aware that with some deductive reasoning some
numbers can be eliminated. Just remember, if you do this the caches
with clues need to be logged as found before this cache can be
claimed. There is no particular order they have to be done, nor a
time frame. If you are hard-core and into pain (or stupid) you
could do it in a day or a weekend. Some may take weeks or months.
Those of you that have already logged caches that now contain clues
may be wondering what to do. Several options are available. You can
revisit each cache and retrieve your clue, or you can place those
caches on your watch list. As a find is logged on those caches you
may contact the finder and ask for the clue number. If you go this
direction I need to warn you that I have several “moles” working
with me and they will randomly supply bogus information. So, it’s
up to you, take a chance or walk a few extra miles.
This is a music theme cache. It contains cassette tapes from a
wide range of musical interest. They are hidden in a large ammo
can. If you don’t have tapes, CD’s may be traded. I’m sure that
after your trek to find this one you will be ready for some music
to soothe the savage beast. You will probably be ready to replenish
all those calories you have burned so as a First Finders Prize I’m
placing a generous gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the
Hickory area.
I hope you enjoy the park and its many miles of trails and the
beauty it presents. I thank you for hunting this cache and hope it
is as much work to find, as it was to hide. If you come across any
trash while in the park you can help by carrying it to the next
trail connector. Most all of them have trashcans and you can
deposit it there. Happy hunting and be careful. The leaves on the
trails can get slick.
