Galloping Goose Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

BlueRajah: As there's been no cache to find for months and the owner had been missing since 13 December 2006, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact me in the next three months if you have repaired the cache, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

Utah Highway 30 between Tremonton and Logan

At the turn of the 20th century the interurban rail system in Utah was in it's hayday. The line to Logan from Brigham City was affectionatly known as the 'Galloping Goose' because of the rough ride. Many signs of the original rail bed can still be seen as you travel from Honeyville to Petersboro. Most notable is the remains of a bridge.
The cache is in a small plastic container with a white lid. This cache was placed as an adventure activity by the scouts of Troop 146 of the Trapper Trails Council. It contains numbered 'tokens' that the scouts want to 'track' as they travel the world. Please log your information in the book indicating the number of the token taken. When you place the token elsewhere, please refer to Troop 146 and note the token number so it's movement can be tracked.
