There are some wonderful trails that circumnavigate the upper river and I would recommend enjoying these before searching for the cache. The trails include a high suspension bridge and many riverside views. You may see spawning salmon, deer, beaver, eagles and many other wild creatures.
The cache itself is only a short distance from the road however one small obstacle near the cache could be challenging and therefore I have increased the difficulty level. I know a fellow who wet his pants while negotiating it.(really!) Under certain conditions it would not be safe to approach the cache. Hopefully common sense will prevail.
I placed the cache without use of any special equipment however a good walking stick would be an asset. The cache is purposely in plain view from the right spot. We'll see how long it lasts.
The main component of the cache is a collection of fishing flies. I'm hoping visitors fishing the area will find the container and participate by contributing one of there flies to the collection. Real bugs (preserved) might also be interesting.
Other initial contents include: Plantman's Pet Rock #3, a Salmon Plug Travel Bug, a Salmon spoon, whistle, pocket knife and a few other fishing items.
