Geocache Description:

This is Manasco Cemetery located in Jasper, AL, off of a small paved road. It is a very old family cemetery that has graves as old the early 1800s. Some graves don't have written markers, just rock headstones. Many a soldier is buried here including one who fought in the War of 1812. Several soldiers who died at the Battle of Shiloh during the Civil War are buried here as well. One of those soldiers was an army doctor. I can only imagine the pain and suffering that they saw. I am sure the soldiers didn't get many restful nights sleep after witnessing the carnage of war. Now some say, even in death, they don't rest peacefully. Members of the NAGHS (North Alabama Ghost Hunters Society) have seen glowing orbs and heard the faint sounds of galloping horses while here investigating at night. Could it be that the soldiers still fight their battles even today? Could the good doctor still be trying to save the wounded? You be the judge. Be sure and take PLENTY of pictures.

This is a NIGHT ONLY cache. Search around the perimeter of the cemetery until you see the glowing eye. Follow the eyes until you find the cache.
Be sure and set your GPS unit to "drop bread crumbs"! You'll need them on the way out.
Suggested Equipment
