Cache is a short walk from the Fort Schanskop parking.
This Fort is the little less visited spot on the site of the Voortrekker Monument. For the same admission price you can drive out here and visit the Fort. It was built by President Paul Kruger in 1897 as one of four to protect Pretoria, after the Jameson raid of 1896. It was purchased from the City of Pretoria in 2000, restored and furnished as an Anglo Boer War museum. It is very similar in design to Fort Klapperkop, and the views from here (the fort) are spectacular.
The cache is a 1.5L container hidden under a few small rocks at the BASE of a tree.
There is an admission price to be paid, so make a day of it and visit the Voortrekker monument too.
