Have you ever wanted to hike to the beautiful and scenic Devil's Bathtub but never had the chance to do so? Have you been to the Devil's Bathtub but would like to go back? Here's your chance to help clean up the area while having fun hiking to the bathtub with your geo-friends. There are several creek crossings on this hike so if you have hiking poles you probably want to bring them. Also, I would suggest wearing some good hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. This is not going to be a day of intense clean-up, would I do that to you? You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the hike to the bathtub and once we get there be prepared for a swim in the 'ole Devil's bathtub - if you dare! The water is coooold. It doesn't matter if it's the hottet day of the year or the coldest - the water is just as cold.
Make sure you bring plenty of water for the hike and bring a bagged lunch/snacks. We'll eat once we reach the bathtub. The hike to the bathtub is about 1 1/2 miles one way. This is a difficult hike so please keep that in mind. I know people of all ages hike this trail every week and you don't have to be an experienced hiker to enjoy it. Please keep in mind that there is no cell phone service in this area. Also, there are no "facilities" here so be prepared for that as well. If anyone has been on this hike before and would like to leave helpful hiking suggestions in their posts please feel free to do so.
Don't forget there are a couple of Earthcahes here and a traditional cache or two.
