Geocache Description:

With the changes in the reviewing team we thought it a suitable time to say goodbye and thanks to our ex local reviewer, Lactodorum. In fact it will be the first time we have met him ourselves. So join us by the Malvern hills to see him off in style and welcome The Hornet back into the fold.

Evnin' All
No longer will this image and tag be overseeing the forums or checking our cache submissions. Now is a time to celebrate however for, while Lactodorum leaves, that G.O.G. The Hornet gets his caching time back.

So come and join us at the above coords (The Malvern Hills Hotel for those who need a name to be certain of the location or want to search the web) for a drink in the afternoon from about 1:30pm till 4:30pm. Why near these hills? Well Lacto mentioned about having to do some caches this way and it is a great area.

British Camp in the Malvern Hills

We have also been discussing for some time about a local event for the Hereford and Worcester area. Well here is an opportunity for everyone to meet up; cachers from further afield are also most welcome to attend

There will be two new caches on a circular walk from the event, there are 4 other caches within walking distance and 16 within 5 miles, some of them our own (so you can ask for hints). The Malvern hills are just over the road too so there is plenty of good healthy walking with some great views.

There will be food available till 2:30pm for those that want it. Children are allowed in the bar until 4pm, dogs are allowed if they are well behaved and not dirty and please remove dirty boots before entering. It is a hotel although they are used to walkers. On that note it will be busy until after lunch so although we will have a spot somewhere it may be a bit cramped at the beginning. If the weather is nice we will most probably be outside. There is parking either in the hotel carpark or on one side of the road. If these are full you will have to use the hills carpark: £2 for all day parking valid in any of the hills carparks. There is also a bus service, The Hill's Hopper, that stops near the carpark every couple of hours and travels along the hills.

Could we ask that you give us an idea of numbers when you post and also if you are thinking of having food - Thanks

Finally, please contact us if you need help with anything. See you there!
