Geocache Description:

This is the final part of a three part multi-cache. To complete this cache you must first have solved the first two parts (Solent1 & Solent2) and have the answers A and B.

The co-ordinates above are not the cache location just a damp spot within 10 miles of it.

The theme of this series is “So near and yet so far”, I think you will understand why when you have worked out the location.

This final part is itself in two sections, you first have to work out the co-ordinates from the formula below, using your earlier answers (A,B and C) from Solent 1 & Solent 2.

N° 50 XX.312 W° 01 YY.052

Where XX equals C minus B plus 1 and YY equals A minus B minus C minus 1.

I strongly suggest that you E-Mail the co-ordinates for confirmation, and to receive some hints about the third location.

This location is tricky, but quite safe if approached correctly. I really do advise you to contact me before tackling it.

Once there you can solve the puzzle below which will give you two more numbers, which you can then use to work out the final co-ordinates.

Stand facing the building and look up, you should see a security door protecting access to a ladder. The security door has a pattern of holes in it, and is surrounded by spikes.

The holes are in a symmetrical pattern and there is one less hole than there are spikes.
Just add the number of holes to the number of spikes and that will give you part D.

The final cache location is:

N° 50 ZZ.PPP W° 01 .YY.QQQ

Where ZZ equals C minus B and
where PPP equals (D x 28) - 9 and QQQ equals (D x 24) + 18

The final cache is an ammunition box, filled with the usual assortment of goodies.

(In case anyone is planning a visit.
The final, part of this cache has been temporarily removed as I was not happy with the location, I hope to find a better location soon.
I have not disabled the cache as I do not want to discourage people from trying the virtual part which is the real challenge and the real purpose of this cache.
If you solve the virtual part then you can claim the cache.)
