Cache Logs

I had to wait and try to look innocent while a guy and a long, strung-out line of about eight ladies (Asian) made their way up the trail. Maybe I was feeling a little impatient when I finally started looking. Maybe I was looking on the wrong side of the trail. Oh well.

Last cache before crawling into my tent for a well-deserved sleep was Eight or Nine?. We left camp for more trail work about 9:00, having arranged to work both sides of the pond and meet at the Y at 10:30. Got there and turned on my GPSr, walked in the indicated direction, saw a geotrail and about half a second later saw the cache. No idea why the last two seekers had so much trouble. I note that Google Maps shows the cache on the wrong side of the trail, and I hadn't read the logs and so did not mark a waypoint, but I remember that the last thing I saw was the arrow pointing straight toward the cache with a reasonable distance. It is a mystery.

I was working so hard (hope you believe it!) that I missed the next cache and leapfrogged down to Y Canyon Trail or Loop Trail?.

We looked for a while but came up empty-handed. Saw a long tailed lizard in the tree guarding the unfound cache.

I was out with some others, hiking a loop and looking for geocaches along the way. Unfortunately we couldn't find this one.

I can't believe it! This is where we stopped to have a snack! I wasn't sure where we were hiking today, so I didn't have this loaded onto my GPS. AARGH!
