species. The woods are home to numerous species of birds, these
includes the Greater Spotted wood pecker, Willow Warblers, Wrens,

This wood is managed by the Milton Keynes Parks Trust, there are
good footpaths into and around the wood. There are also clear rides
through the wood but these can get very muddy.
The cache is quite small, so only small trades
please.
Milton Keynes Park trust have placed some nice seats around the
wood. These seats are all made of wood. It is unsure if this wood
came from these woods or not.
You will find a very interesting sign at N
52° 00.815 W 000° 48.118, you will need to get the following
clue from it.
Historically the wood was managed for timber with a system of
coppice and larger mature trees. The woods included Ash and Oak
Trees. What happened every 7 to 15 years? How many letters make up
this word? This will become (A)
You have been asked to count the number of wooden seats in the
wood. You have also been asked to find out how many different kinds
of seats are in the park. Some seats have backs and some don't.
We did have this information but it was destroyed on a wood fire
by mistake last winter.
Facing the sign, take the path to your right and go to the
following location N 52° 00.845 W 000°
48.030, you should be at a T Junction behind you is the
entry to the woods and to the left and right you will see a
pathway.
Follow the tar sealed pathway which will take you on a
circular walk around the wood. You should end up where you
started.
Follow the pathway and get the following information about the
chairs.
The number of seats will become (B)
The Total number of Kiwis spotted in the wood to date will
become (C)
The total number of different types of seats will become
(D)
Ok, you now you should have all the information to complete the
hunt.
The final Co-ordinates are:-
N 52° 0(D -
1).00(D) W 000° (B - D - D)(B -
1).(A)(D)(C)
The final location has some thorny bushes, so I would suggest
you wear good shoes and long trousers.
