Geocache Description:

In the spring of 1977 my buddy and I took a float trip down the Allegheny creek in are plywood boats. Destination Green Hills lake. The creek was made deeper in June of 1972 by tropical storm Agnes. We fell short of the lake of about 200 yards and got out near the Green Hills bridge. If you were to drive the route today it would take you about five minutes. It took us over six hours. We had to move the boats around shallows and other obstacles. We didn't have cell phones to text or P.C.s to occupy are time. Come to think of it we didn't even have G.P.s! Just some good friends alittle imagination and a lot of great adventurers. Man those were the days... Park on southwest side of bridge. No need to bushwack . Stay to the bridge. Please respect no trespassing sign.
