Geocache Description:

This is a micro located in the courtyard of the Plant and Environmental Sciences building on the University of California campus in Davis. Here you can generally see a variety of field crops being demonstrated.

The Plant Sciences faculty at UCDavis work on many facets of agriculture, both locally and globally. At the cache site you can see a number of living specimen plants of various crops.

The display is year-round but obviously in the winter there is less to see than the rest of the year.

Also nearby is an interesting display of soils from all over California. (A real "geo"-cache). The cache is not there.

To find this geocache you may need to use stealth especially during the day on weekdays. It is not hidden in the planter boxes - so you do not need to touch them or the plants in those planters.

It can get very busy in this public place, but everyone there is accustomed to having folks looking around at this site. So just pretend you're here to learn something and you'll fit right in.

Coordinates can be problematic due to all the nearby concrete. This is the main reason why difficulty is set at 2.
