Geocache Description:

This is a nice little micro cache located along the perimeter trail at Sam Michaels Park in scenic Jefferson County, WV.

Sam Michaels Park is 120 acres of rolling meadows, woodlands, ball fields and playgrounds. A new recreational center is under construction and opening in the fall of 2006. A perimeter trail has been marked and is a beautiful stroll and a nice place for family caching.

This little cache is one of three that we've placed along the perimeter trail in this scenic park. It is a large micro and one should use care when handling the container. In honor of the original cache that was tough to maintain due to it's size and delicate nature...we've left the original outer container intact. The new and improved cache container is located about 12" from the original.
