Geocache Description:

This cache location was encountered while on a backcountry trip to the Darwin Lakes area

Did humans evolve from a primordial mush beneath the depths of Darwin lakes? Probably not, but if you’re willing to make the trek to these remote coordinates you can enjoy finding a microcache hiding in the portentous desolation. The shortest approach is over Lamarck Col or from the John Muir Trail. You will be seeking a small, plastic pill bottle containing the microcache log sheet and pencil, a Patagonia pin, magic dice, American flag pin, Buffalo Head nickel, and a Mercury dime.
